تحدث محمد أبو العلا، لاعب الزمالك السابق، عن طموح جماهير القلعة البيضاء في الموسم الجديد، معلقًا على دور جون إدوارد المدير الرياضي بالنادي.

وقال محمد أبو العلا في تصريحات لبرنامج “الكابتن” على قناة “دي إم سي”: “جمهور الزمالك عنده طموح كبير ومتعجل، من حقه أن يكون مُتعجلًا لأن النادي تأخر كثيرًا، الزمالك ليس في مكانته الطبيعية، وجمهوره لا يستحق ذلك، وهذا نتيجة لأسباب كثيرة دائمًا أقولها”.

وتابع: “العمل الحالي الذي يقوم به جون إدوارد عقلاني، يعرف إمكانات النادي ولا يُبالغ ولا يركز في جلب صفقات كيدية أو لعمل بروباجندا، ينظر لاحتياجات الفريق، تجربة جديدة لن نحكم عليها الآن إلا بعد انتهائها، لكن المؤشرات تقول إننا نأخذ بالأسباب وعنده معايير ولا يُكلف النادي أرقامًا كبيرة، قبل ذلك كنا نُكلف النادي كثيرًا لكن المؤشرات تقول إنه يسير بشكل متزن”.

وأضاف: “لكن هذا سيعيدنا لفكرة الفجوات بين ناد وآخر في التسويق، هذا الأمر يحتاج لدراسة من أجل تطوير كرة القدم المصرية، وأن يتم توزيع التسويق لزيادة التطوير، لكن ما نراه الآن أننا نرى مؤسسة بعيدة عن باقي المؤسسات”.

هل أحمد فتوح يؤذي نفسه؟: “طبعًا، ما زال مُندفع ويرتكب تصرفات سيئة، رغم أنه مر بظروف قبل ذلك من المفترض أن تجعله يتعلم سريعًا، لكنه متأخر في هذا الأمر”.

وواصل عن فتوح: “عندما نتحدث عنه يكون هذا بدافع حبنا له، والنادي من حقه تقويم إبنه، لكن فكرة الناس تنجر لفكرة بيعه لا، لأن أوقات تحصل أخطاء وتجاوزات في هذا السن”.

واختتم: “هناك لاعبون كثيرون مروا بظروف مشابهة واعتزلوا ولم يفتكرهم أحد، أنت في مفترق طرق ورصيدك يقل عند الجماهير، وأنت أحد كباتن الفريق ويجب أن تكون قدوة، أنت مريت بظروف صعبة كثيرة والنادي وقفت بجانبك، لذلك أنا مع النادي في عقوبة ضد اللاعب، لأنه إبن النادي، ويجب تقويمه”.

تحدث كريم الدبيس، لاعب سيراميكا كليوباترا الحالي، عن كواليس رحيله عن النادي الأهلي، مؤكدًا أن قراره جاء بحثًا عن فرصة للمشاركة بشكل أساسي، سعيًا لتحقيق حلمه بالانضمام إلى منتخب مصر.

وانتقل الدبيس إلى سيراميكا كليوباترا خلال فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الجارية، قادمًا من صفوف الأهلي، بعد فترة لم يحصل خلالها على فرصة المشاركة بانتظام.

وقال الدبيس في تصريحات عبر برنامج “النجوم” على إذاعة “أون سبورت إف إم”: “كنت في حاجة لاتخاذ هذه الخطوة حتى أحصل على فرصة حقيقية للعب والانضمام إلى منتخب مصر، وهذا هو هدفي الأساسي”.

وأضاف: “بعد بطولة كأس العالم، تحدثت مع ريبيرو ومحمد يوسف وطلبت منهما أن أشارك بشكل مستمر، قلت للمدير الفني إنني لا أريد أن أضعه تحت ضغط، وطلبت منه أن يكون صريحًا معي. قال لي: (أنا أحتاجك، لكن لا أستطيع أن أعدك بالمشاركة بنسبة 100%)، فطلبت الخروج للإعارة، وطلبت دعمه لأن الإدارة كانت ترفض، والحقيقة أنه تعامل معي باحترافية شديدة”.

وأوضح كريم الدبيس الفارق في التعامل بين مدربيه السابقين، قائلًا: “الفرق كبير جدًا بين كولر وريبيرو، كولر كان يقول دائمًا (أنت مهم ولن ترحل)، ومع ذلك لم يكن يمنحني الفرصة، بل كان يراوغني، ويخبرني قبل المباريات أنني سأشارك، ثم لا يحدث ذلك”.

وتحدث عن علاقته بعلي معلول، قائلًا: “معلول أسطورة من أساطير الأهلي، وكان داعمًا لكل اللاعبين سواء الكبار أو الشباب، وكان يقف بجوار أي لاعب يحتاجه، كنا نتعامل معه كمصري، تعلمت منه كثيرًا وكان دائم النصيحة والمساعدة، حتى في وجوده بالمباريات كان يقول لي: (أنت اللي هتلعب)، أنا أحبه وأقدره كثيرًا”.

وأشار إلى التأثير الذي يتركه علي معلول على من يخلفه في مركزه، قائلاً: “أي ظهير أيسر ينضم إلى الأهلي حاليًا سيظلم بسبب ما قدمه معلول، فالجماهير تريد من يأتي بعده أن يكون مثله تمامًا”.

وكشف اللاعب عن مفاوضات سابقة للاحتراف في بلجيكا، قائلاً: “قبل انتقالي للأهلي كنت قريبًا من التوقيع لنادٍ بلجيكي، لكن بمجرد أن تواصل معي أمير توفيق مدير التعاقدات السابق، وطلب مني التوقيع للأهلي في اليوم التالي، قمت بتمزيق عقد النادي البلجيكي فورًا، رغم دهشة ماجد سامي رئيس وادي دجلة وقتها، وقلت له: الأهلي حلمي منذ الصغر”.

وتابع: “الصفقة توقفت بعدها، ولعبت موسمًا مع وادي دجلة في الدرجة الثانية، لكن الكابتن محمود الخطيب وأمير توفيق قالا لي: (اللاعب اللي ميبعناش عمرنا ما نبيعه)، وبعد عام عدت إلى الأهلي”.

كما أثنى على صفقة انضمام محمود حسن “تريزيجيه” إلى الأهلي، قائلاً: “صفقة قوية وإضافة كبيرة، تريزيجيه لاعب محترم وقائد، وعلى المستوى الشخصي أحبه جدًا”.

وتحدث كريم الدبيس عن انتقال أحمد سيد “زيزو” إلى الأهلي، مؤكدًا أن الخطوة جاءت مفاجئة للجميع داخل الفريق، وقال: “صراحة لم أكن أتوقع انضمام زيزو، لكنها كرة القدم، واللاعب المحترف يتعامل باحترافية كبيرة، هو لاعب كبير ومسؤول، دائم التركيز في عمله، وكل لاعبي الأهلي تفاجأوا بانتقاله، باستثناء محمد هاني الذي كان واثقًا منذ البداية وأكد أنه سينضم للقلعة الحمراء”.

وعن مشاركة الأهلي في كأس العالم للأندية، قائلًا: “كنا نطمح للوصول إلى أبعد نقطة في كأس العالم للأندية، لكن لم نحقق ما نريده. هدفنا كان إسعاد الجماهير وتخطي دور المجموعات، لكن لم يكن هناك توفيق، كنت أتمنى المشاركة، لكن لم يُكتب لي، ومع ذلك تمنيت التوفيق لمن شارك لأن النجاح في النهاية يعود على الفريق كله”.

وأشار إلى موقفه من الغياب عن المشاركة في البطولة، موضحًا: “تحدثت مع ريبيرو بشأن إمكانية مشاركتي، لكنه أخبرني بأنني لست جاهزًا بنسبة 100% بعد العودة من الإصابة، وأنا لا أعترض أبدًا، بل دائمًا أركز في عملي منذ صغري وأحترم قرارات الجهاز الفني”.

واختتم تصريحاته بالحديث عن مستقبل زميله وسام أبو علي، قائلًا: “وسام مهاجم كبير، ولا أعرف إذا كان سيرحل عن الأهلي أم لا، لكن في حالة رحيله، الأهلي يمتلك لاعبين مميزين، ولن يتأثر الفريق”.

يُذكر أن كريم الدبيس كان قد انضم إلى صفوف الأهلي في صيف 2022 قادمًا من وادي دجلة، ونجح خلال تلك الفترة في التتويج بعدة بطولات مع الفريق، أبرزها ثلاث نسخ من الدوري الممتاز ولقب دوري أبطال إفريقيا.

Even in a Southampton side that has only mustered up a pitiful 15 top-flight strikes, Walker-Peters has still collected two assists, with a number of clubs reportedly circling for his services now amidst talk he will turn down any contract extension put forward to him.

Juric will hope he can keep a firm grip on the 5 foot 8 full-backs this month – away from all this speculation – but the Croat is unlikely to put up much of a fight to hold onto another defender on the contrary.

The latest on Charlie Taylor's future at Southampton

As per Sky Sports journalist Lyall Thomas earlier this month, Charlie Taylor is one figure Juric will be looking to offload this January, with other names on Thomas’ list looking to exit St Mary’s being Maxwel Cornet and Ben Brereton Diaz, as the latter now finds himself on loan at Sheffield United.

Therefore, Taylor could be the next fringe presence to be moved on, considering he has barely featured for the South Coast side this season after moving to the newly promoted team from Burnley last window.

Indeed, the ex-Clarets man has only started two times for his relegation-doomed outfit in the Premier League, with his last showing in the league seeing him introduced into the game at the half-time interval, only for the Saints to be resoundingly trounced 5-0 by Brentford.

Whilst he is by no means the only individual guilty of being an underperformer when you consider Southampton’s rock-bottom status, his steep wage will also be another major factor as to why there’s an increased hunger to get him off the books this January.

Looking at the table above, away from his poor defensive numbers, Taylor also surprisingly rakes in a hefty £30k-per-week pay packet, which means he earns more than both the aforementioned Walker-Peters and Fernandes.

The far brighter pair both earn £20k-per-week away from Taylor’s high earnings, with the Saints defender’s wage costs over the full year coming in at an extortionate £1.5m despite such a lack of game-time.

Therefore, it makes a lot of sense why Southampton want to get rid of the 31-year-old defender this month, as Juric attempts everything in his power to boost spirits to try and build some positive form.

It wasn’t much of a workout ahead of the World Cup Qualifier, which starts on June 19; but having lost the first match of this series, the resounding nature of their victories to end the series will nevertheless give Sri Lanka some confidence.Chameera, their key ODI bowler, leaves this series with wickets to his name, having only come back to internationals from a long injury lay-off during the previous match on Sunday. Dimuth Karunaratne, returning to the side after an even longer absence, now has successive fifties to his name, having made 56 not out in this game. When Chameera returned for a second spell, he produced the over of the innings in which he was unfortunate to get only one wicket. First ball, Mohammad Nabi edged him just over slip for four; second delivery, Nabi was dropped by backward point, who got hands to a shin-high chance before grassing it; and third ball, Najibullah Zadran edged towards slip, but the ball bounced short and burst through the fielder’s hands to go to the boundary.But come the fourth ball, Chameera finally had some luck. One of the least discussed changes to the County Championship this season has been the reduction in points for the draw from eight to five. (Indeed, some sour souls have suggested that Lancashire – played five, drawn five so far – have yet to notice the alteration.) It seems a slight adjustment yet it has encouraged some attacking declarations from skippers who, in previous years, would have settled for the comfort blanket of shared honours. Then again, not every captain has a Simon Harmer or an Alastair Cook in his side.The final day of this drawn game at Trent Bridge suggests such creative tactical thinking might become more common. When the players went in for tea, Essex were 362 for 8 and many home supporters’ chief concern was that their bowlers should take the last two wickets lickety-spit, thus giving themselves a chance of scoring say, 230 to win the game. Imagine, then, the surprise among the good folk of Bilborough and Bulwell when it was announced that Tom Westley had declared and that Nottinghamshire would need to score 219 in 39 over to achieve the victory that would take them second in the Division One table, level on points with Warwickshire and Hampshire.If all this tested the faculties of spectators who were sound of mind and bowel, imagine the confusion it caused among those who had spent the previous evening watching association football some 500 yards away. Joe Clarke hit the finest slow bowler in England for three classical boundaries but Harmer was getting bags of rip from the Radcliffe Road End and that proved too much for Matt Montgomery, who was leg before for 22 when deep in his crease.With 17 overs left to be bowled, Nottinghamshire needed 156 runs, an asking rate of 9.1 runs per over, but now Westley had posted six close fielders for Harmer and it was clear which team was in the ten-bob seats. The draw was agreed with five overs left to be bowled but it was beguiling if useless to ponder what might have happened had either Clarke or Mullaney, their side’s last specialist batsmen, been dismissed 20 minutes earlier.Beguiling, as well, to reflect that Essex’s brief victory tilt was created not simply by Westley’s enterprise and Harmer’s skill but by the patience of the Essex skipper during his 157-run stand with Alastair Cook. The pity of that was that neither batter made the century he deserved. Cook had been dismissed for 99 just before midday, playing one of those awkward close-to-the-body steers to third man that look dreadful until you think he’ll have long worked out the risk v reward ratio. Then it still looks dreadful but one concludes that if a chap’s made over 26,000 first-class runs, he might actually know his business. This morning, though, he tried it to a ball from James that jagged back and took the edge en route to Clarke, who took a tumbling catch.Four overs later, the new ball gave Nottinghamshire their best chance of doing serious damage but they claimed only one wicket, that of Westley, who having toughed it out for over four hours and 95 runs was beaten by a good delivery from Stuart Broad that seamed away. By lunch the lead was 114 but there were only a dozen overs on the ball and time enough for Nottinghamshire to win if they could go bang-bang-bang – or any other Eurovision entry – quite early in the afternoon session.They achieved quick breakthroughs but only an hour later, by which time Essex’s lead was becoming so large that Westley fancied a cheeky dart at 16 points rather than settling for five. Having put on 56 with Lawrence, Matt Critchley played on to James for 20 and six runless balls later Adam Rossington chipped a return catch to Calvin Harrison. Restlessly imaginative, Mullaney brought his own medium pace on from the Pavilion End and his seventh ball had Lawrence playing lazily across the line. Tom Lungley didn’t waste time over the decision and Essex were 319 for 6, 175 ahead with 49 overs left in the game.Enter Shane Snater, a cricketer untroubled by regrets and generally unhampered by a defensive technique. In other words, a bloody dangerous one. The No. 8 dispatched his first two balls from Harrison over the deep square-leg boundary. The first of them took a diving Slater with it, the second would have done so only if Slater had come from Brobdingnag rather than Chesterfield. Harmer took his cue from Snater and 24 runs came in just over two overs. “Could Essex be thinking of declaring?” suggested someone. “Rubbish,” came the response. Then Snater was bowled for 18 having another colossal smear at Harrison. The players went in for tea and Westley declared.
