Another top target appears to be Crystal Palace maestro Michael Olise, whose quality and end product have consistently caught the eye this season – when he has been fit. Fabrizio Romano has said of the situation: "Olise remains a player who is really appreciated at Manchester United, also by people on the scouting team since one year ago."

According to Tuttosport (via Sport Witness) a Manchester United representative was left "bewitched" by Gleison Bremer when watching him in action for Juventus against Atalanta in the Coppa Italia final on Wednesday, as they won 1-0 thanks to a Dusan Vlahovic goal.

The individual in question "flew to Italy specifically" to watch the Brazilian in action, and the Red Devils are now "ready to get serious" with regards to a move for him. A bid of €70m (£60m) is expected to be enough to get him.

Bremer is precisely what United need this summer in terms of a dominant centre-back who is at a good age to come in and be Lisandro Martinez's long-term partner at the heart of the defence.

The 27-year-old has impressed for Juve throughout this season, averaging 4.1 clearances and 2.9 aerial duel wins per game in Serie A across 35 appearances. He has even chipped in with three goals for good measure. Meanwhile, former Brazil manager Tite once waxed lyrical over him after calling him up for international duty, saying:

"Bremer had this opportunity to be called up thanks to his career and performances of a high level at Torino and Juventus. Perhaps we got it wrong and didn’t observe him closely enough, because he deserved more of our attention a lot earlier. When he arrived here, in the games and the training sessions we did together, he gave such a sense of certainty. He really is a player of great quality."

At 27, Bremer is younger than the likes of Raphael Varane, Harry Maguire and Jonny Evans – the former has confirmed that he is leaving United this summer – and he arguably possesses the physical attributes to adjust to the Premier League with ease.

Chelsea have a signed a long list of wonderkids over these past two years, with Boehly and co aiming to secure some of world football's brightest young talents. They spent a huge £427 million alone on Moises Caicedo, Mykhalo Mudryk, Wesley Fofana, Enzo Fernandez, Romeo Lavia and Cole Palmer, with Chelsea's pursuit of rising stars showing no sign of slowing down.

Indeed, in the last fortnight alone, Chelsea have reportedly displayed interest in signing Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras as they look to Brazil for talent, with his teammate Estevao Willian also being heavily pursued.

The 17-year-old, who's been likened to Lionel Messi by his agent, has apparently reached an agreement on terms with Chelsea.

“He’s a real phenomenon. He’s the next Ballon d’Or [winner]. His name is Estevão," said Andre Crury in an interview with AS.

وسُئل لويس دي لا فوينتي عن إمكانية إراحة لامين يامال، الذي يبلغ من العمر 17 عامًا فقط، ولا يزال في مرحلة النمو والتطور.

After joining the club for a reported £71.6m from Athletic Bilbao during the summer of 2018, Kepa Arrizabalaga, who cost a world-record sum for a goalkeeper, had high expectations of being the Blues' long-term replacement for Thibaut Courtois after the Belgian had departed for Real Madrid.

He would appear 36 times in his first Premier League campaign for the club, keeping 14 clean sheets – a respectable tally, but one that would rapidly decline during his time in London.

The former Bilbao man also caused controversy during the Carabao Cup final against Manchester City, refusing to be substituted by boss Maurizio Sarri ahead of the penalty shootout – with Kepa unable to prevent the Blues from falling to a defeat.

However, the signing of Edouard Mendy saw the Spaniard drop to second-choice for the 2020/21 season, only featuring 14 times throughout the campaign, including a substitute appearance against Chelsea in the Carabao Cup final.

He was brought on at the end of extra time for the penalty shootout, failing to save any, before missing the final spot kick, handing Jürgen Klopp's side the trophy.

In total, he's made 163 appearances for the club since his arrival in 2018, before joining Real Madrid on loan last summer for the 2023/24 campaign – where he's made 18 appearances to date.

Kepa Arrizabalaga's wage at Chelsea

During his time at the club, the 29-year-old has pocketed £38.8m in wages, as per Salary Sport, taking the club's total spend on the goalkeeper to £110.4m in just under six years – an extortionate amount given his lack of impact at Stamford Bridge.

Kepa, who's been described as potentially the club's "worst signing" by talkSPORT's Rory Jennings, simply hasn't looked up to scratch throughout his time in west London.

With his deal at the club set to expire next summer, Boehly and co need to shift him off the books as soon as possible – reports earlier this season suggesting that the Blues are ready to take a £50m loss on the player, with a £21m fee suggested.

The huge figure for his wages is a real concern, especially given the club's recent losses. Although a potential sale of Kepa wouldn't immediately solve the club's woes, it would go a long way to ensure Pochettino's side stay within the permitted year losses of FFP.
